Crude Oil Tanks are de-commissioned for repair and maintenance once in every 8 to 10 years of operation. During the period of tank operation, the heavier fraction of crude settles on the tank floor and forms a thick mixture of water, sediments and heavy hydrocarbons known as sludge. Plant Tech takes up hydrocarbon freeing of the crude tank for repair and maintenance and also aids in mechanical separation of sludge to recover hydrocarbon, in such a manner that the hydrocarbon, which has commercial value, can be re-used by the client. The water and solids are disposed by the clients in an environmentally friendly manner. - Industrial Product Tank Cleaning of White Oil and Black Oil Tanks.

Hydrocarbon is returned to the refinery for re-use while water and solids are disposed by the clients in an environmentally friendly manner.
